The Ice for Java JAR files are available from Maven Central.

Slice to Java Compiler

The slice2java compiler is required for development and is available as part of the Linux, macOS, and Windows distributions.

Amazon Linux 2 (LTS)

Configure Yum repository

x86_64 | aarch64
$ sudo yum install https://download.zeroc.com/ice/3.7/amzn2/ice-repo-3.7.amzn2.noarch.rpm

Install the Slice compilers

$ sudo dnf install ice-compilers

Debian 10 "Buster"

Configure APT repository

amd64 | arm64 | armhf
$ sudo mkdir -p /etc/apt/keyrings
$ sudo curl -fsSL https://download.zeroc.com/GPG-KEY-zeroc-release-B6391CB2CFBA643D | sudo gpg --dearmor -o /etc/apt/keyrings/zeroc.gpg

Meta layer includes BitBake recipe for C++ and Python, IceBox, IceGrid, IcePatch2, IceStorm and Glacier2 services

Add meta layer to bblayers.conf

Homebrew

The ice formula includes the Slice to Java compiler.

$ brew install ice

Windows Installer

The Windows installer provides the Ice Slice compilers, Ice for PHP, all Ice services, and the IceGrid GUI.

It does not include SDKs for C++, C#, or Java.
